Hello, I'm Tara. I've been working in research and information provision for 17 years as a professional librarian and corporate researcher.
My experience covers the governmental, higher education and finance sectors, where I have specialised in information and research provision, current awareness updates and information skills training.
I am an expert searcher of financial, legal and press databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Westlaw, Lexis Nexis and Factiva and am also an advanced user of current and historical government and parliamentary material. Read more about my journey to freelancing in this interview.
I offer a variety of information services, from conducting detailed internet searches, current awareness updates to research skills training in how to use search engines and web-based research resources effectively. I also use my extensive experience across sectors to provide consultancy on the setting up and management of information services.
Freelance projects include extensive background research for award-winning screenwriter David Quantick's latest novel Go West, comparative analysis of UK utility company financials for a financial management consultancy, and a number of website builds for clients in the health and charitable sectors.
Finding, digesting, summarising and presenting information is what I enjoy and what I do best.
